Space Motion 'Hybrid' on W
Space Motion brings 'Hybrid', a two-track release, to W, filed as Afro house and released on 16 May, running at 122 BPM. Space Motion placed it fourth of eight on his own Look At Me chart, posted 9 September.
The percussion sits out front through 'Hybrid', with plenty happening across the drums even as the mix stays kept down in level and free beneath the peaks. It sits bright at the top, giving the record a lively, forward edge that suits its two-track pace.
Space Motion brings a catalogue of 129 releases since 22 August 2016 to the label, the bulk of them on his own Space Motion Records, with smaller runs on UV, Freegrant Music and Armada Music Albums, and arrives here fresh from 'Freedom' on Space Motion Records on 18 April.

Following the success of his previous Morning Slide, Hybrid takes things to the next level with a unique combination of technology and spirit that collide for a highly narcotic glimpse into the future.
To kick off the release we are presented with the titular Hybrid. Coursing through a similar vein, this gripping delivery expertly bides its time, as vibrant percussions sit front and center before a meandering low-end swell storms into frame. Submerged now in a brooding atmosphere, lively vocal chops light the way as scintillating synthetic dashes imbue the piece with a sense of urgency. Boasting a sophisticated design throughout, we are now presented with a guttural lead vocal that flourishes in the darkest depths, coming alive at the center of Hybrid. As we continue, a second gravity-defying picture comes into frame, enhancing the experience while all the colors meld into one before overriding our senses for one last time.
On the flip side, seductive from the outset, Arra unfurls over a bright percussion and suggestive vocal chops that strut alongside a stabbed bassline for a warm welcome. With a solid frame locked in, our beloved Serbian maestro pulls back the curtains on a tantalizing lead as synth and piano interlock for dramatic effect while a gorgeous wall of vocals emerges from the depths, lending a genre-bending aura to Arra. Reaching for a break in the clouds, Space Motion deploys a swelling bassline that treads to higher ground as surging pulses lead the charge before tension sparks into a blissful third act for a most memorable moment.
