The shortest days of the year in Tulum and Miami are long on dance music. Among releases in the season's flood is 'A New Kind' by Olivier Giacomotto, Nihil Young & Beacon Bloom. In its original form, 'A New Kind' is a driving, melodic journey. Olivier's remix is a destined collision of producer and track, a euphoric rework that claims the dancefloor with every beat.

Olivier Giacomotto's remix lands on Octopus Recordings. The French producer's studio history is deep: 103 releases since 6 November 2006, spread across Get Physical Music, Yoshitoshi, Suara, and Toolroom, among others. His most recent work before this was the 'Expansion EP (David Carretta Remix)' on Watergate Records, released 8 December 2023. The remix was already charted by Fideles, who placed it fifth in their We Are Dreaming chart for December 2023.

Octopus Recordings describes the remix as "A remix destined to be, Olivier was drawn to the track instinctively and delivers a euphoric remix in his masterful style. Both ecstatic and blissful, with a heavy shot of dancefloor exhilaration, he takes the original into fifth gear." The percussion sits out in front, a spare drum figure driving the record forward, with plenty of light up top and a melody that unfolds in the space between. It is a remix that works as both a peak-time tool and a moment of release, a balance Giacomotto has honed across a decade and a half of releases.
