NevadaSYSTEM, Qian Qiao 'Diablos'

NevadaSYSTEM is a well of ideas. The artist has 32 releases since 20 January 2023, most of them on Vasa Records or Spitfire Music. It is a different kind of record from the pair, filed under Progressive House but with a weighted harmonic core that makes it feel more like a slow-burning mood piece than a floor record.

The harmony is where most of the attention sits; a busy percussive surface runs beneath it, but the track's level is pushed up so the peaks barely clear, and there is not much air up top. It is dense and smoky, a late-night record for a city in its last warm week.
