Ashibah 'Golden' on This Never Happened

On the back of Ashibah's warm, spacious sound, 'Golden' has found its way into the latest Sultan + Shepard chart. The record, out on This Never Happened, sits at twentieth in a selection that also includes Dave Seaman's 'Nightfalls' (Dilby Remix) at third, and which leans heavily on the label: eight of its twenty entries are This Never Happened releases.

'Golden' is a cut built on a steady, breathing rhythm, with chords and drums given equal room, and a melody that unfolds without hurry. The extended mix stretches that feeling out, giving the record time to settle into a room.

Released on 14 May, it is one of the This Never Happened releases that have kept the label busy across 2026.
