Khen 'Babylon' on Closure

As the Ibiza season approaches its final weeks, Khen's 'Babylon' resurfaces in a new guise, with Volen Sentir handling remix duties for Closure. Guy J placed the rework eighth of ten in his Music For September chart on 22 September, slotting it alongside Chicola's 'Access' further down that same list.

Volen Sentir works the original into a patient, rolling groove, the kind of progressive house that favours tension over spectacle and lets its melodic elements unfurl gradually rather than announcing themselves.

The remix follows closely on Khen's 'Rogelito', released on Closure back on 10 July. Sébastien Léger also picked up the track, placing it tenth of ten in his own Caprice Charts on 16 September, further recognition for a record finding favour on more than one tracklist. Between the two charts, 'Babylon' has now been singled out by artists working in different corners of the same sound, a reach that says something about how well the remix appeals beyond any one DJ's chart.
