Kasablanca > 'In Sequence' on Anjunabeats

'In Sequence' is Anjunabeats's 48th release of 2023 on Beatport, one of 69 the label has put out this year to date. The Korolova Extended Mix, filed as Melodic House and Techno, came out on the label in June, and adam placed it sixth of 12 in the GLOW chart on 10 October, a field where four of the 12 records already carry the Anjunabeats name.

This is Kasablanca >'s first release on Anjunabeats since 'Lucid Audio', a gap of about two months. Harmony does more of the work than percussion here, with an airy hit pattern threaded through the mix. Levels sit middling, with moderate movement under the peaks, and the top end runs dark, the same hazy signature carried from one Kasablanca > release to the next. Sixth of 12 in a chart this deep in the label's own catalogue is a solid result for a record already well established on Anjunabeats.
