Gorje Hewek, Bakka (BR) 'Huracan' on Shanti Radio

The release is the seventh by Shanti Radio on Beatport in 2023, and the first by Gorje Hewek and Bakka (BR) on the label since "Never Been" on 3 April, a gap of about eight months.

On "Huracan", the drums roll over a sustained harmony, with crowded percussion clustered around the beat. It is a middling record with headroom to spare; bright in the treble, it leaves little to feedback and is best enjoyed at moderate volumes. As with previous Shanti Radio releases, the sound is typical of the label: organic house, and in this case melodic, with elements that recall the kind of electronic music that plays in galleries and studios and homes that face the sea. Miami is in its dry season, and the record finds its place there.
