Demayä 'You Are' on Calamar Records
Calamar Records described the release in its own words: "'You Are' is the very embodiment of his artistic approach: afro, organic and melodic." The Extended Mix is filed as Afro House and was released 8 November, running at 120 BPM.
Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano placed the track second of 10 in their 'DISTO chart' on 13 December. Demayä has one release since 24 March 2023, on Armada Music Albums, a short catalogue so far for the artist to build a name from.
Drum and harmony share the level throughout, with a lot of incident in the drums and almost no room under the peaks. The top end sits middling, giving the mix a dense, forward finish that fills the space it is given from the first bar onward.
