Apple Gule, Dj Drift Franklyn, Sol Novaro 'Energy' on Rise Music

'Energy' is Rise Music's sixth release of 2024, the label's seventh so far this year, from Apple Gule, Dj Drift Franklyn and Sol Novaro. The track was released on 29 November, filed as Afro House, and Hyenah placed it first of 19 in the 'Energy Charts' chart on 18 December.

Five of the 19 records in Hyenah's chart are on Rise Music itself, putting the label's new record at the top of a countdown it already shares generously. Rise Music was last covered on 26 January, with Nanghiti and KAKI (NL)'s 'Love Is Real'.

Percussion and harmony hold equal ground throughout, running over a steady percussive surface at a restrained level that keeps its own headroom in reserve. The top end stays bright, giving the mix a clean, open finish.
