Bedouin and Marieme's 'Reason' is this week's third placed track on the Bedouin-charted 'Salaam' list, with Robin M's remix keeping the original's raw desert soul while tightening its pulse for modern floors. In its original form the track already had a hypnotic sway, but the remix sharpens the focus, placing the percussion at the front of the mix and letting the track's tension rise and release with carefully timed breaks.

At 122 BPM, 'Reason' sits at the slower end of the 16 Melodic House & Techno records in the catalogue this week, a tempo that gives it a spacious, late-night feel rather than an urgent one. The arrangement never forces the issue, letting the percussive layer do the work: a regular figure that holds the groove together while the highs stay forward and the body of the track breathes with soft levels and plenty of headroom. It is a patient record, one that rewards on sound systems where detail matters as much as impact.
