YUMA., LE YORA 'Day I Met You' on LE YORA

Andhim's "You're Not Alone" playlist, posted to their page on March 6th, featured ten records: a selection of melodic house and techno, running from 120 to 128 BPM, at the slow end of which sits 'Day I Met You,' by YUMA. And LE YORA, at 122 BPM. The track was placed fourth of ten. Also on the list was Ivory (IT)'s 'It's A New Day,' on Exit Strategy, at sixth, which was covered on 23 January.

As with much of the playlist, 'Day I Met You' is defined by its restraint: an even split between drum and chord, a dense hit pattern that is low in level and moderately open under its peaks. The top end is moderately bright, but the record never feels harsh; the whole thing is held under a smooth, unifying warmth. YUMA. Has one release since 22 January 2021, on Crosstown Rebels, and this is the first on the LE YORA label.
