Shiffer 'Need For Speed' on Ocultismo
The label says, "Balancing introspection with dancefloor energy, the EP unfolds through immersive sonic landscapes that feel both intimate and expansive. Each track reveals Burke's refined sense of storytelling, combining subtle textures with powerful momentum and a clear artistic vision. The release is further elevated by an incredible remix from Night Talk, who brings a fresh perspective to the EP with a stunning reinterpretation that perfectly complements Burke's original vision while adding a unique energy of its own."
It follows 'Gems' on ICONYC in December, and continues a run of releases that has seen Shiffer move between labels while developing a considered approach to melodic house and techno. Here the focus is on tension and release, with tracks that build patiently before opening up into wider spaces. The remix from Night Talk pushes things in a different direction, keeping the atmospheric core while giving it a more direct momentum.
Out now on Ocultismo, 'Need For Speed' is a record that rewards close listening as much as it does the dancefloor.
