Rodriguez Jr., Liset Alea, RJLA 'Visions' on Feathers & Bones

Oxia placed 'Visions', in the Tim Engelhardt Remix, eighth of 15 in the Evidence chart on 19 September, a field that also carried Marc Romboy's 'Intelligence', in the Toto Chiavetta Remix, on Awesome Soundwave, at 15th. The remix, credited to Rodriguez Jr., Liset Alea and RJLA, arrived on Feathers & Bones in May, filed as Melodic House and Techno.

Rodriguez Jr.'s catalogue runs to 82 releases since April 2009, weighted toward Armada Music Albums, which accounts for nine of them; the most recent before this was 'Global Underground: Select #8', on Global Underground, in April. Tim Engelhardt brings a run of 103 releases since October 2011 to the remix, most of them, 12, on Parquet Recordings; his most recent before this was 'Bellissimo 2', on Natura Viva In The Mix, in March. Harmony sits out in front of the drums, with a settled pattern running beneath it. Levels run high, flat under the peaks, and the top end stays dim, a close, weighted mix built for the tail end of a set. Eighth of 15 in a chart this deep is a fair mid-table finish for a remix carrying three names and two catalogues at once.
