Matt Guy 'Elektronik Organ' on Truesoul

The note Truesoul put out with the release says, "Truesoul welcomes Matt Guy to the family with 'Elektronik Organ'." 'Elektronik Organ' is Truesoul's third release of 2024, one of five for the label this year, filed as Melodic House and Techno. Fatboy Slim placed it 12th of 13 in his own Playlist of the Week on 9 May.

It is Matt Guy's first release on Truesoul, following 'Sleep When I'm Dead' on Arcane Music, in February. The mix runs more drum than chord, with a busy percussive surface throughout. Levels sit low, open under the peaks, and it runs bright at the top, an active, driving read built around rhythm. 12th of 13 is a modest finish, but a first release on a label this well known still counts as a meaningful step.
