Matador 'Mince' on Rukus

Matador returns to Rukus with a new single that has already landed in the hands of tastemaker Yulia Niko, who charted it 20th of 20 in her Melodig Week 15 chart on 10 April.

'Mince' is a 124 BPM cut in D major that holds percussion and harmony in equal balance. The drums are steady, almost stoic, with little incident to distract from the track's centre, while held-back textures leave plenty of room beneath the peaks. The top end stays dark, letting the whole record work as a slowly unfolding piece of atmosphere as much as a floor tool.

The record follows Matador's 'Twisted', which came out on Interstellar Recordings (Insomniac) on 27 February 2026, and continues a catalogue that has run to 42 releases since July 2008. Over that time he has put out music on Perc Trax, Minus, Yoshitoshi Recordings and Armada Music, among others.
