Marco Bailey 'Liquid Room' on COD3 QR

COD3 QR said of the release: "As usual, the latest release in COD3 QR's 'Artist Code' series puts the focus on eclecticism, open-mindedness, divergence and non-conformity." Marco Bailey's 'Liquid Room' is out on the label, filed as Melodic House and Techno and released 21 April, arriving as Lisbon and Berlin move through August.

Here the harmony does more work than the percussion: not much happens across the drums while the mix stays forward and squeezed beneath its own peaks, with a shaded top end holding the brightness back. It is a considered, harmony led piece of production that trusts restraint over impact, matching the eclectic brief the label sets for the series rather well.

Marco Bailey has put out 48 releases since 14 July 2008, 19 of them on Bedrock Records, six on Tronic, four on Drumcode and three on 1605; the most recent before this was 'BEON1X Open Mind Compilation by Denis A' on DAR on 23 September 2022. His own Marco Bailey Entry summer 2023 Chart placed 'Liquid Room' 12th of 15 on 4 July, a chart where four of the 15 records also carry the COD3 QR name.
