Made By Pete, Blindsmyth 'Run With Me' on Human By Default

The record is the slowest of the eleven Melodic House & Techno records in this week's chart, running at 121 BPM. Where others in the list push the tempo up to 130, this one leaves room in the arrangement for the drums to do the talking, the percussion doing more than the harmony. The drum pattern stays even and locked, while the rest of the record stays out of the way. It's a loud record with little give under its peaks, and not much air up top, which gives it a dense, immediate quality.

'Run With Me' was released on Human By Default on 12 Jul 2024.
