Siembra says Laolu is moving toward original music and closer collaborations with other songwriters and musicians, after a run built mostly on remixes. 'You Don't See Me' is co-written with Nomvula SA, and Laolu himself says "there is a tenderness in her voice that I wanted to magnify." Laolu has released on labels including Innervisions, Bedrock Records and Get Physical Music, and his last one was 'Now I See', on Crosstown Rebels, back in November 2023, a full year before this one.

You Don't See Me runs mostly on its percussion, dense and driving throughout, at 120 BPM in A minor. It is a percussion-driven Afro house cut, built around the vocal partnership between Laolu and Nomvula SA, out via Siembra in the Extended version.

Acclaimed Swiss-Nigerian producer, DJ, and artist Laolu is proud to announce the launch of his new record label, Siembra. Known for his transformative remixes, and stunning recent release on Crosstown Rebels, Laolu is now embarking on a new journey to release original music and foster deeper collaborations with other songwriters and musicians.

To kick off Siembra's exciting journey, Laolu releases "You Don’t See Me" featuring South African vocalist Nomvula, with the single marking a return to the signature sound that has endeared Laolu to fans worldwide, evoking the feelings captured in tracks like 'Sene Kela' and 'Kite Zo A.'

"I wanted to collaborate with a South African vocalist as I find their scene one of the most inspiring and captivating right now,” Laolu explains. "I co-wrote 'You Don’t See Me' with Nomvula and her tone matches perfectly with my production. There is a tenderness in her voice that I wanted to magnify."

Siembra is poised to become a hub of innovative and heartfelt club music, driven by Laolu’s unique artistic vision and commitment to creative freedom. As he plants those first seeds with 'You Don’t See Me,' music lovers everywhere can look forward to a rich harvest of new sounds and artistic expressions.
