Khen 'Usual Madness' on No Drama
No Drama's own release note calls 'Usual Madness' its third release, a two-track offering from Khen, filed as progressive house and released on 25 July, as Berlin moves through high summer. Guy J placed it eighth of 10 on his Music for August chart, posted 29 July.
Khen brings a catalogue of 98 releases since 17 February 2010 to the label, weighted toward Lost and Found, Plattenbank, Bedrock Records and Sudbeat Music, and arrives here fresh from '25 Years Of Anjuna Mixed By Durante' on Anjunadeep on 12 May. 'Usual Madness' keeps the drums ahead of the harmony, working from a plain, regular hit pattern that stays kept down in level, well clear of the peaks, while the highs sit forward enough to carry the track's momentum without crowding it.
No Drama was last covered on 27 October, with Guy J's 'Karma', and 'Usual Madness' is the third release from Roy Rosenfeld's label.
