Julian Koerndl 'All You Need' on Innervisions
Innervisions released Julian Koerndl's new single as the label's eighth output of 2024, one of nine records the label has released so far this year, and Enamour placed it fifth of nine in the 'Zizzy' chart on 4 July. Filed as Melodic House and Techno, the track has been out since 24 May and arrives as part of what the label calls a busy year: "Alican, Emanuel Satie and Julian Koerndl are on the horizon and taking over the third edition of our evolving series in 2024."
Julian Koerndl's track leans on tone over rhythm, with percussion that stays thin on the ground rather than driving the arrangement. The mix runs loud, with the peaks held tight, under a dark top end that keeps the tone in the foreground rather than letting it spread. It is a record more interested in atmosphere than momentum, and that quality earns it the exact middle of Enamour's nine-track chart.
