Jonatan Bäckelie, Hyenah 'Sanity' on Aluku Records
Jonatan Bäckelie closes out the week with the Instrumental Version of 'Sanity', out now on Aluku Records, as Hyenah's Sanity Charts rounds out with the track sitting fourteenth of fourteen.
The label's run continues a path set out in March with Frigid Armadillo, Divine Keys and Jnr SA's 'Afrique', and Bäckelie brings a steady catalogue to this latest stop, with outings across Protagonist Recordings, Einmusika Recordings, Armada Music and Black Hole Recordings among others. 'Sanity' follows close behind 'Last (Single Version)', which landed on rakkaus Records barely three weeks earlier, on 28 August.
Stripped of its vocal, this instrumental cut leans into Afro house's percussive pull, built to carry a room rather than a hook. It is a tidy piece of work from a producer whose catalogue keeps moving, and its appearance on Hyenah's chart places it among the records currently shaping that corner of the scene.
