Izhevski, Lost Desert 'Svezhiy Veter' on Souksonic

Lost Desert placed 'Svezhiy Veter' 14th of 20 in his own November Snowflakes Chart on 25 November, a field that also carried his own 'Within a Dream', also on Souksonic, at 10th. The track, filed as Organic House, arrived on the label in November.

Izhevski's catalogue runs to 28 releases since September 2014, weighted toward Shanti Radio, which accounts for nine of them; the most recent before this was 'Protea', on Ruvenzori, in July. Drums lead over harmony throughout, with the percussion running crowded rather than sparse. Levels sit temperate, with a fair amount of give under the peaks, and there is plenty of air at the top, an active, breathing read that keeps the rhythm at the front. A finish of 14th of 20 in a chart its own co-artist compiled is a fair mid-table result for a collaboration built on rhythm.
