The note Engrave LTD put out with the release says: "Fec debuts on Engrave Ltd with the modern house stomper 'Not My Self,' featuring a rework by Mehill. A true dancefloor heater delivered in two distinct versions, crafted for late-night clubbers only."

In a review this week, Musumeci placed it in the number four position of 19. Fec has nine releases since September 2017, mostly on Renaissance Music, six in total, and the most recent before this was the 'Keep On Running EP' on Renaissance Music from 16 January. Engrave LTD was last covered on 16 November with Ayala (IT), 'Breathe'.

The audio is weighted towards its percussion, but the drums leave a lot of room around themselves. The master has a soft level with headroom to spare, and the top end is bright.

In the last weeks of the Tulum season, Fec steps out on Engrave LTD with 'Not My Self', a record built for the final, intent hours of the night. The original is a modern house stomper, its drums cut with clarity and space, leaving the arrangement to breathe. Mehill's rework takes the same raw materials and shifts the perspective, pulling the focus toward hypnotic repetition. Two versions, two moods, one shared goal: to move a room that has already given itself over to the music.
