Bob Sinclar placed it 10th of 15 in his own 'Cruel Summer (Again)' chart on 24 April, a chart where the Yellow Productions name sits beside three separate entries out of fifteen total. Yellow Productions itself was last heard from on 16 February, with Africanism, Zapapaya and La Negra Hawkins' 'Aurora'.

Block Party leans on its percussion, spacious and unhurried throughout its entire length. It is a percussion-led Afro house remix, and Yellow Productions' 12th release of the year, continuing a steady early run for the label.
