Choujaa 'Nyu Bi Woni' on Abracadabra Music
Abracadabra Music, BLOND:ISH's own label, welcomes Moroccan DJ and producer Choujaa with 'Nyu Bi Woni', released 24 May, his introduction to the label's roster.
BLOND:ISH herself performed at DC-10 in Ibiza on 24 June, for Circoloco Week 9, a bill that also carried Adriatique, Aurora Halal, Chloé Caillet and Gerd Janson, four other names on the same night.
Drums lead over harmony throughout the track, the drum figure kept spare, and the mix stays low with open space still left above it, quiet rather than loud.
'Nyu Bi Woni' plays as an Afro house cut, out on Abracadabra Music, the same label BLOND:ISH runs herself, and the same label that welcomed Choujaa as a new name on its roster of producers.

“Typically, I begin my tracks by crafting melodies or establishing a groove. However, this time, everything kicked off when I received these amazing African vocals. Instantly, I sensed it was going to be a hit.
The concept behind the song revolved around featuring a prominent detuned lead, playing like an arpeggio throughout. In my experience, Diva is the ideal plugin for crafting such sounds.
After finishing the song a few days later, I sent it to BLOND:ISH as an exclusive promo. I was thrilled to see her playing it at various gigs. Shortly afterward, I received a message from her expressing how much she loved the song and her interest in signing it to Abracadabra.”
