Birds of Mind 'Don't Leave Me Here' on Get Physical Music
Get Physical Music introduces 'Don't Leave Me Here' as a single from Birds of Mind, released ahead of a 'Body Language' compilation still to come. Birds of Mind has released mostly through Get Physical Music, Sol Selectas and Kindisch, and their last one before this was 'Long Kiss Goodnight', on Knee Deep In Sound, back in June. A full-length album on Kindisch followed in late 2021, and Get Physical Music itself last carried the act's music through 'Mi Pena' and 'No Time For Tears' the following year.
Don't Leave Me Here splits its weight fairly evenly between drums and chords, running light and unhurried throughout. It is a chord-and-drum-balanced organic house cut, arriving ahead of the label's next 'Body Language' compilation.

Paris-based duo Birds of Mind, aka Alex H. and Adrian C, are Get Physical Music mainstays who were last on the label with superb singles 'Mi Pena' and 'No Time For Tears' back in 2022. In late 2021, they also served up a superb full-length album on Kindisch and are never far from the upper ends of the Beatport Organic House chart, such is the charm of their music. They bring great spirituality, deep drums and captivating moods each and every time and will showcase that on their entry into the esteemed Body Language series.
But first comes this super single 'Don't Leave Me Here' which pairs bouncing rubbery kicks with a melodic bassline that rides up and down the scale. Soft shakers and wispy pads add lush late-night feelings while the tender piano chords that slowly unfold bring inescapably powerful emotions. Add in some angelic wordless coos and seductively whispered words and you have a spine-tinging new cut from this cultured pair.
