Austin Pettit, Vylano 'Lost The House' on Consequence Of Society Recordings

Cristoph placed Austin Pettit and Vylano's 'Lost The House' eighth of 14 in his 'SubCulture II Chart' on 17 December. The Extended Mix, out on Consequence Of Society Recordings and filed as Progressive House, was released 12 December.

Eight of the chart's 14 records come from Consequence Of Society Recordings itself, a heavy presence for one label to hold on a single chart.

Austin Pettit has issued 22 releases since 12 January 2018, mostly on SkyTop and Freegrant Music, six apiece, with four each on Coldharbour Recordings and Siona Records; the most recent before this was 'Siona Records: V Anniversary' on Siona Records, 28 June 2024.

'Lost The House' runs at 125 BPM, drums set over harmony, a thick run of percussion carrying the track through a loud mix with little give under its peaks and a muted top end. The thickness in the percussion does the real work, holding the track's weight without asking the top end for anything more than staying out of the way.
