Alex Galvan 'Garden of Time' (Colossio Remix) on Satelite Records

Alex Galvan's 'Garden of Time' arrives on Satelite Records alongside a remix package that includes Colossio. Satelite Records says it is "built around a surreal metaphor of patience and timing". Each version in the remix package takes that cinematic core in a different direction. Here it is the Colossio Remix in focus, a melodic house and techno version whose drum figure gives the arrangement a firm centre while the chords wash in and out above it.

The drums remain busy through the sections, giving the track a sense of continuity. The sound is loud, with peaks that leave little room for give, a quality that adds intensity and a sense of relentless forward motion, well suited to peak-time moments. The melodic detail has room above that pattern without taking the weight away from the rhythm.

The label lists Colossio's version alongside interpretations from King Ben, Roderic, DHAF, Andec James, and Bikura & Viktop in the release note. Yulia Niko placed it 11th of 18 in her Melodig Week 21 chart on 17 July, the same date the release came out. As one of the label's eight releases this year, it balances its melodic core with a serious intent for the dancefloor.
