Alex Galvan 'Dreamer' on Sounds Of Khemit
Sounds Of Khemit says the lyrics of 'Dreamer' "invite listeners to join the dreamer on a magical adventure." Nhii placed it second of 20 in the 'End of the year picks' chart on 7 December, a list where five of the 20 records carry the Sounds Of Khemit name. The label was last heard from on 4 November, with Nhii and Zababa's 'Étoile Filante', a different pairing entirely from this release.
Dreamer leans on its percussion, layered and busy, and never lets the mix feel cramped even with that much going on underneath it. It is a warm record built around that lyrical idea of chasing an adventure, and one of five records on the list to carry the Sounds Of Khemit name.

I mean, who doesn't want to ditch the mundane and explore the mysterious, right? We've all got these doubts and fears that sorta weigh us down, but this metaphor says, 'Hey, pursuing your dreams is this wild ride, full of ups and downs, and it's gonna change you.' And that leap of faith you gotta take? Well, that's the start of a life where you're genuinely content and enchanted by the possibilities. It's all about longing for a life that's, well, anything but ordinary, where your dreams take off like fireworks in the night sky."
